Mass Effect 3 alternate ending Awakening part 11
Harbinger marched forward, swiftly and threateningly like a giant warship sailing right at them. It did not seem to mind the projectiles sinking into its body. The air was filled with missiles and rockets, deadly fireflies flying right at the Reaper. The noise they made was ungodly; it was like being in the middle of a thunderstorm. But the Reaper did not back down, not even by a single step.
"It's not slowing down Shepard!" yelled Ashley as she reloaded her missile launcher, "What'll we do?"
"Just keep firing!" replied Shepard as she took another shot. The missile launched through the air right at the Harbinger's giant body. Shepard didn't stay still to admire her shot, but instead fired four more missiles at the Reaper. One good thing about the giant creatures was that they made a pretty big target. That didn't really help much, but at least it meant that there was still something positive about the situation.
Shepard ducked behind a cover again to reload, "This is all we

"Get that thing off our asses!"
Shepard took a sharp turn behind another building and stepped on the gas. She could hear a high pitched sound as the Reaper's beam hit the building right behind them. The ground shook as the monster stepped forward, casing after Shepard.
"We're trying!" Anderson yelled, "The damn thing keeps ignoring us!"
"Aim for the eye!" Shepard screamed as she made another sharp turn.
Shepard turned the car again. She could now see the Reaper at their left side, looking for them. This one was smaller than the one she had taken down at Rannoch, but it was definitely no less menacing. The black figure easily topped the few buildings that were still standing, and moved forward effortlessly, while shaking the ground with its steps. And just as easily it could destroy everything it looked at. It was a being that seemed to spread fear just by being alive. It only existed to destroy, to kill, and it had been doing that for millions of years. In f
The greatest miracle on EarthThe universe was born 13,8 billion years ago. A reality, that might not have been, was. In a place where shouldn't have been anything, was something. The mater of the entire universe was packed into one infinitely dense point, the singularity.
The expansion of the singularity caused the Big Bang. That single point gave birth to time, space, mater and energy. And for some reason that what was, kept on being. The world didn't collapse or shred to tears, it was in harmony. There was a perfect balance between everything that existed.
During billions of years matter kept travelling in a universe which had the exact conditions to allow the birth of atoms. Gravity kept pulling matter together. One atom at a time, after billions of years asteroids, planets, stars, solar systems and galaxies were born.
On so it happened that one galaxy had a solar system which had a zone able to support life. Not only was it in a right zone, but it had an atmosphere, a protective magnetic field and

The sky was dark, filled with smoke. Sun was nowhere to be seen and it was the burning cities that colored the clouds with orange light. The only sounds that could be heard were the sounds of war. That's all that was left of Earths clear blue skies and cities filled with life. These kinds of thoughts didn't usually enter Shepard's mind, but right now as she walked towards Anderson and the fighting vehicles, she found herself reminiscing the past.
Anderson trolled around one of the vehicles, scanning it with his omnitool. There were a total of five vehicles standing in a formation in the middle of the street. Three of these were carrying missiles. Finally Anderson seemed satisfied and pointed one of the nearby Turian soldiers to get inside the car. Then, he turned to Shepard.
"Everything ready?" Anderson asked.
"Yes", Shepard replied, "We're ready; just tell us what to do."
"Very well", Anderson said and pointed the vehicle in the middle of the formation, "You an

"How are you holding up Commander?" Joker asked.
"Fine", Shepard replied. She honestly felt better than in a long time, perhaps the nap in the car had something to do with it. And there weren't any nightmares this time, guess that was a good sign.
"How about you and EDI?"
"We're doing okay, though things have gotten pretty rough up here. You know, turbulence, heavy traffic, giant ass Reapers trying to blow us into pieces."
"I believe that was a joke", EDI interrupted.
"Nice to hear from you too EDI", Shepard spoke, "How's the Normandy doing?"
"We are currently filling our fuel tanks and loading our heavy weapon systems. Normandy has taken a lot of fire, but so far our shielding has been efficient and no critical damage has been done."
"My mobile platform survived mostly undamaged and has been able to provide vital support to our troops on multiple occasions. This has been possible in no small part thanks to Mister Vega."
"It's a good thing you're helping out each oth

One of the husks, a human, was closing in on Shepard from the right. She shot four bullets into its body. The husk took two steps and fell down on to the ground. Another one managed to creep behind her, but got shot down by Garrus. A long time ago Shepard would've doubted before pulling the trigger, but no more. She had killed so many of these beings by now that she had almost forgotten that they were once human. Another husk got within an arm's length from Shepard. She impaled it with her omni-blade and proceeded to evaluate their situation.
They had split into two teams; the Cerberus troops were protecting the vehicle while Shepard and the others were trying to lure the husks away. So far they had been doing a pretty good job. A nearby fallen bridge provided a good cover for them and they weren't going to run out thermal clips anytime soon. Still, the car was moving painfully slowly and there seemed to be no end to the waves of husks. Every missed bullet gave the hu

Overall Ashley took the news about Shepard's indoctrination better than she had expected.
"Wow, that's a lot to take in. I mean you Indoctrinated..." Ashley said while shaking her head.
"I know it sounds crazy, but that's the truth", Shepard answered, "You can either believe or not, I just hope this doesn't affect our mission."
"Oh it won't commander. If you're sure about this, I believe you."
"You're handling this quite well."
"I already distrusted you once, and nearly paid a hard price for it. I'm not going to make the same mistake again."
Suddenly the car jumped and threw Shepard off her seat. Ashley, Tali and Liara were also caught by surprise, though Garrus and the Cerberus soldiers didn't seem to mind. It was probably nothing more than a hole in the ground, but the constant jumping still kept Shepard on the edge. They couldn't see outside, so every sudden move could be a sign of attack, husks or even something worse.
They had been driving for almost two hours now

The group's reaction was exactly what Shepard had expected; baffled.
"What are you talking about?!"
"Did I hear right? You can't be seriously saying that!"
"That's what happened!" yelled Shepard as she raised her hand to silence the others, "I can't force you to believe me, but I though you should at least hear this."
"But Shepard", Tali said, "No one has ever overcome the Reaper indoctrination. If what you say is true, then how did you "
"It was the Protheans", spoke Shepard, "Apparently they found out a way to break the Reaper's control over their victims. This information, a code of some kind, was transferred into the beacon and through them, to me."
"I knew that the Prothean technology was highly advanced", Liara said, "But I had no idea they had achieve something like that."
"You couldn't have. The research team that developed the code worked undercover, nobody else knew about."
"Why didn't they use it against the Reapers?"

"So what happens now?" asked Anderson, "How far is your cruiser from here?"
"About 25 miles", said the Illusive Man. He already had a new smoke in his mouth, "But the machines are large, we're going to need a vehicle to transport them."
"Are there many Reapers and husks on the way?"
"We didn't see any Reapers, but there were some husks. A small team should be able to get through them though. I'd say my men are more than enough for clearing the path to the cruiser and retrieving the machines."
"Don't even think about it", said Shepard, stepping into the conversation, "There's no way we're going to let you do this alone. You may take your men, but my team is coming with you too."
There was no sign of disappointment or surprise to be seen on Illusive Man's face, "If you wish to waste your time and resources, be my guest. Though I can assure you, I have nothing to gain from betraying you. We have a common goal now, destroying the Reapers."
They looked each other eye to eye for a moment, Sh
Steampunk!Pirate!PrussiaxReader 14The ocean was as still as glass, and dark as ink. Sharp, soaring cliffs pressed in on either side of the ship, threatening, blocking out the moonlight and rain. You could hear the storm raging, but it was as if you were hearing it through a wall; the narrow pass you traveled was eerily quiet.
You stood near the Skyshadow's railing, still, listening. The ship was too close to the water for comfort. If you concentrated, you could still hear fragments of the siren's song drifting in the air, soft as silk.
“We have to go lower,” Eliza whispered. “There are still too many jagged rocks up here.”
You looked up, surveying the cliffs. In the near distance, dark, sharp shapes stretched out of the cliffs like claws. You nodded, unease seeping down your spine. You could feel the tension of your crew thrumming in the air as Eliza walked away.
The ship began losing altitude, the water below stirring in the engine's breeze. You watched the ocean carefully. A dark shape darted

Rita Shepard isn't anymore that Shepard which everyone knew during the war. Her will is almost broken, she
A Thesis on ProtodermisThe planet of Spherus Magna is an oddity as within geode-like underground pockets a highly energized liquid metal1 exists. It is a pure element which has the possibility of binding with a broad range of other elements to form a unique archetype of compounds -- if it were not for the fact that in its natural state Energized Protodermis just allows matter to convert to energy simply on contact, explaining its nasty habit of vaporizing people.
Energized Protodermis (Ep) in a single fluid body tends to synchronize its own fluctuations in energy, so sometimes it reaches a low enough state that upon contact with another being the particles of Protodermis will bind. The effects that may take place from someone's bodily compounds being reinforced with EP may vary, but a shared quality is a magnification of one's natural power. Typically armor is strengthened and elemental energy is focused, as far as Bionicle species are concerned.
It is not a strange happenstance that nearly
Early MorningIt's a soft, early morning. River and the Doctor have stayed over at Amy and Rory's house. They decide to make everyone breakfast. But things get, distracting.
The stair creaked. The Doctor “eeped.”
“Shh, Sweetie, we don’t want to wake up Amy and Rory.” River laid a tender finger over his lips. His eyes big, he nodded. She waved him over to the stairs closer to the wall, where he was less likely to find a loose tread.
Really, it was amazing the man had survived this long.
They padded down the rest of the stairs in Amy and Rory’s house, heading for the kitchen. They had spent the night, at Amy and Rory’s urging. They all intended to go to the zoo later in the day, then to an amusement park.
“A real, normal, family outing,” Amy had declared, hands on her hips, defying either of them to deny her.
Of course they hadn’t.
But both the Doctor and River were early risers, and they had decided to start the day off right by makin

Mini TFP Fan-Fiction - Part 7 Trying to keep his composure, willing Ratchet to take his ridiculous request seriously, he repeated himself. “Teach me how to heal.”
Ratchet blinked once, twice, then shut his mouth with a snap. “I'm—I'm sorry?”
Taking a shaky breath, Smokescreen continued. He felt as if he were treading in dangerous waters. “If you won't heal him, then teach me how to—I'll heal him.” He put on his most firm look, hoping he looked as if his decision had been made. But really, the thought of learning anything medical seemed wrong. He was training to be a warrior, and always had been. However, if Ratchet didn't take up his request... At least it had confused the doctor enough to pause the Starscream matter—for how long, Smokescreen didn't know.
Clearing his throat, a very unconvincing smile wavered across Ratchet's face-plates. “Why the sudden interest? The medical field
