Mass Effect 3 alternate ending Awakening part 17
The following day, just as Liara had anticipated, the doctors arrived. Like a group of flies they swarmed around Shepard, reading measurements, giving shots, unplugging and re-plugging all kinds of cords and just making Shepard feel as uncomfortable as possible.
"Is, ouch, is this all really necessary, ouch!" Shepard asked as she was getting her final shots.
"It is", one of the Salarian doctors replied, "The worse has passed, but there is still a lot of recovery left for you Commander. We've already reconstructed your damaged muscle tissue from scratch, healed your broken bones, skull and spine, healed the numerous open wounds all around your body and treated your nervous system from the trauma inflicted on it. We even used some Asari mind melding to ease any psychological trauma the incident might've inflicted on you."
Shepard turned her eyes to Liara sitting at the corner of the room. She had a mischievous expression on her face, which Shepard couldn't quite read. She'd have to ask a

For a long time Shepard felt nothing at all. Or that's what she thought at least; in truth time had already lost its meaning to her. It could've been hours, or entire days, that didn't really seem to matter. So for the time being, she just was, not sure of what was happening around her or where she was. Then, little by little, she became to feel things.
At first there was the overwhelming feeling of comfort. It was over, for real this time. She had finally done it, they were all safe now. No need to worry about anything anymore. And there was no pain anymore either, no fear and no rush. After all that, everything was finally well. That's what she felt, and she spent a long time being lost in that feeling.
Then bigger things started to fill her mind; thoughts and questions. Had she gotten out of the Crucible? Would she be okay? She felt okay at least. She was alive, that was for sure. She had died before, and it hadn't been like this. Close, but not like this.
So where was she? Well, if

"What THE FUCK was that?!"
Shepard opened her eyes. How could someone No she was still alone in the Citadel; the voice came from her headpiece. What's more, she recognized that voice.
"That's the most pathetic fucking thing I've ever heard from you! Don't think you can just leave us after all this, because you can't! Stand up and fucking FIGHT!"
"What happened Shepard, did your quad drop off?"
"I've seen you come back from the void, yet NOW you're willing to give up, after we finally won? That's not the Shepard I knew!"
Shepard moaned, she might've lost her consciousness for a while, but the pain hadn't gone anywhere. She truly needed rest; she needed the pain to go away again. But she couldn't ignore the words of her friends. She never could.
"Shepard, please "
"Please don't leave us, not yet! I don't want to lose you again, not when we could finally We could finally be together!"
The room shook again, making Shepard's pain eve

Shepard jumped out of the way just in time to avoid another shot, which hit the floor behind her, leaving behind a man-size hole. She landed on her side on the floor, feeling the pain sweeping through her entire body. It was getting too intense, she couldn't take much more. Her hands and feet were heavy and aching more and more, and she couldn't move without feeling an excruciating pain in her back. Not to mention, the shots were getting more powerful, had that one hit her, she'd be gone already.
"This weapon is a Reaper design; as effective as a missile launcher, but no larger than an ordinary rifle, just another advantage that their technology has given us", Shepard heard the Illusive Man speak as she crouched behind cover. All around them the Reapers holograms were disappearing, vanishing as the Crucible removed their programs from existence.
"We're this close to defeating the Reapers, you can't ruin this now!" Shepard yelled while she reloaded her gun. Too bad the Reaper

A flash of light, one brighter than anything else, surrounded Shepard.
Her body felt like being twisted and squashed as it travelled through thousands of kilometers of space in a few seconds. It wasn't at all like making the jump with a ship.
The light disappeared and the relay released its hold of Shepard. She couldn't find her balance in time, and fell down to the hard, cold surface in front of her. She groaned, but lifted herself immediately back up. This was no time for rest. As she rose up, Shepard looked around. She was definitely in the Citadel. She recognized the material used for the walls and the ceiling, stuff so strong it had been used to build both the Citadel and the mass relays. And despite being millions of years old, it still shined bright and clean.
Shepard looked around. She was in a long corridor of some kind, a place she definitely hadn't visited before. The walls were bare, but glowed with

The soldier on the right took a step forward. Shepard looked at him terrified. She tried to move, to get up, to fight, but her legs wouldn't obey and her hands just kept shaking. She was too weak, her eyes barely stayed open. The man lifted the gun from his side and pointed it at Shepard. She could see the darkness inside the barrel staring back. Shepard looked at the man; there was no sign of remorse. He was going to do it.
"Move damnit, move!"
The soldier fell down, blood squirting through his helmet. The other two turned their backs to Shepard and pointed their guns to the distance. A set of gunshots echoed and a burst of bullets pierced the marines. They dropped to the ground, armors soiled with blood.
Shepard could hear someone running towards herself. Suddenly A pair of boots appeared before her, ones that had been bathed in mud and blood.
"Get up Shepard!"
"Anderson?!" Shepard whispered. She fe

Harbinger marched forward, swiftly and threateningly like a giant warship sailing right at them. It did not seem to mind the projectiles sinking into its body. The air was filled with missiles and rockets, deadly fireflies flying right at the Reaper. The noise they made was ungodly; it was like being in the middle of a thunderstorm. But the Reaper did not back down, not even by a single step.
"It's not slowing down Shepard!" yelled Ashley as she reloaded her missile launcher, "What'll we do?"
"Just keep firing!" replied Shepard as she took another shot. The missile launched through the air right at the Harbinger's giant body. Shepard didn't stay still to admire her shot, but instead fired four more missiles at the Reaper. One good thing about the giant creatures was that they made a pretty big target. That didn't really help much, but at least it meant that there was still something positive about the situation.
Shepard ducked behind a cover again to reload, "This is all we

"Get that thing off our asses!"
Shepard took a sharp turn behind another building and stepped on the gas. She could hear a high pitched sound as the Reaper's beam hit the building right behind them. The ground shook as the monster stepped forward, casing after Shepard.
"We're trying!" Anderson yelled, "The damn thing keeps ignoring us!"
"Aim for the eye!" Shepard screamed as she made another sharp turn.
Shepard turned the car again. She could now see the Reaper at their left side, looking for them. This one was smaller than the one she had taken down at Rannoch, but it was definitely no less menacing. The black figure easily topped the few buildings that were still standing, and moved forward effortlessly, while shaking the ground with its steps. And just as easily it could destroy everything it looked at. It was a being that seemed to spread fear just by being alive. It only existed to destroy, to kill, and it had been doing that for millions of years. In f
The greatest miracle on EarthThe universe was born 13,8 billion years ago. A reality, that might not have been, was. In a place where shouldn't have been anything, was something. The mater of the entire universe was packed into one infinitely dense point, the singularity.
The expansion of the singularity caused the Big Bang. That single point gave birth to time, space, mater and energy. And for some reason that what was, kept on being. The world didn't collapse or shred to tears, it was in harmony. There was a perfect balance between everything that existed.
During billions of years matter kept travelling in a universe which had the exact conditions to allow the birth of atoms. Gravity kept pulling matter together. One atom at a time, after billions of years asteroids, planets, stars, solar systems and galaxies were born.
On so it happened that one galaxy had a solar system which had a zone able to support life. Not only was it in a right zone, but it had an atmosphere, a protective magnetic field and

|Ch. 4| The hobbit x Reader
Howls of wargs ripped through the short men on the grass, all looking around like hawks with their weapons tied to their palms. The sight almost made the she-elf scoff with laughter. A few moments ago, they had sent their burglar up the small path alone, using the excuse of his light steps to search for the Orcs. She did not protest since she agreed, but an unsettling feeling groped the back of her neck. She listened as the howls continued, her sharp ears catching the panting of the multiple creatures like they were breathing on her neck. Not the most comfortable feeling.
Her back straightened when the beasts started trotting away, head turning towards the slim pathway, searching for Bilbo's return. Instead, she was greeted with a deep growl- much closer than the wargs had been before. (F/n) shot up instantly, darting to the entryway to the path until a wise hand gripped her armor-clad wrist. She spun, wi

It was so quick and sudden. What once began as a normal day was shattered even an otherworldly force landed on Earth. The first attack landed in Tokyo, causing a great impact right from the start. The great monstrosity, a giant humanoid being, wasted no time as it eyed the surrounding area, beginning an attack on the world. Completely alien in nature, all that came was destruction. The military marshaled up all the forces it could, sending as much firepower as possible towards the towering beast.....
And eventually they did....but not until it had reduced half of the city to rubble.

Some time had passed since that great incident.
Doctoring the SickRiver had always been overprotective of the Doctor. What does she do when he gets sick?
She stroked his face, his beautiful, long, bony face. His baby boy lips were twisted in a grimace, his beautiful, delicate eyebrows were filled with sweat. His skin temperature was dropping fast.
She never would have let him do it, but he'd knocked her out. He was right, she couldn't have done it, she didn't have the immune system, she was still mostly human.
As soon as he was back on his feet, hale and healthy, she was going to flatten him.
She brushed aside his sweaty quiff, he was already so cold the wet hair stuck to his forehead briefly, frosted over. Her golden tan fingers stood out in contrast to his pale, pink, almost blueish skin.
"He's going to be all right," Rory said, walking up beside her in the alien infirmary. They'd discovered the alien colonial base already being ravaged by the virus. Regular humans couldn't get it, but the aliens, whi
